Also be mindful of the potential hassle from the Spanish police - especially if Brexit goes ahead. There is no doubt that UK plated cars attract their attention and then the "are you resident/how long have you been here" type questions (as you are supposed to matriculate your foreign car onto ES plates after 6 months).

... or immediately once resident - which should happen at 90 days if you intend staying longer.
