yes and no And I agree , but the Met have started putting Polish cars through Manhiem auctions rather than destroying them, so there is a market for them, Im 100% sure if you buy a car in a UK auction you have to be safe becuase they are liable for any comeback, so there must be some kind of data given to the UK Police for this to happen
I'm not calling your a liar, but this guy works for the company and one would assume they would have a company policy not just localized ones?
You'd also probably find that as the majority of the polish vehicles over here (at least the ones i've seen) are not worth very much so when the Polish are put on the spot and can not prove valid road tax/import times/insurance they just agree to give the plod the car as it's not worth their hassle.

All I can say if it were me I would do the following:
Ask the dealer to fax/email you copies of all registration documents and evidence of ITV and when it last left Spain (ie does it have upto date road tax)
If he does that and all is well then I would definitely ask on here to recommend a Gestor to do a quick search for the other issues.
As to be honest for the sake of a hundred quid or so it's worth safe guarding your purchase.

personally knowing the system here I would forget it. There is no HPI here as you can only rely on the Gestoriar. If you are in the U.K. it is too far to use one.

No it's not the same, but some of the points raised there are valid.
