There is a report in the Leader newspaper here from a chap who only stays here 6 months of the year, but leaves his car here in a secure gated area. He came back to find that some unscrupulous character had removed his cars' UK number plates. He was complaining that he couldn't get new ones made here, and so he was driving round with temp. cardboard ones until they returned to the Uk and could get new ones made!!! Doesn't it make you sick that he thinks, because he only is here for 6 months he can drive around in a UK plated car for as long as he wants! Good on the people nicking UK plates from illegal cars I say.
