Car Hire for first 2 weeks in Spain
Hi every1. We are heading out to Spain next thursday on the 12th june. We will have SO much to do when we arrive, so we are going to rent a car for a couple of weeks, and collect it when we land from Malaga Airport. Then over that period we can research where the best long term car lease deals are.
My question to you guys is, after doing research i have come up with the 2 lowest prices. £128, and £132 respectively for 14 days from easycar and argus.
Its for a small economy car ( ford ka, fiesta, vw polo with air con )
Wondered if anyone thought they could get a better price from anywhere.
Just to confirm its Uk pounds that the quotes are in, not €
Thanks so much x

- Fuel policy. If you can't return the car full and get a refund or no fuel charge, then you'll end up paying over the odds for the fuel in the first place and you'll never ever be able to return empty (even when the car runs out, there will still be fuel in it!).
- 2nd driver. Some places charge for second driver as much as 50% as the car hire per day. Check it out.
- CDW Excess Waiver. Most come with CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) - but check the excess. Often there is an excess waiver option, but it could be pounds per day.
- CDW exclusions. It's understandable that your CDW won't include you driving off road and stranding your hire car in the middle of a quarry, but check if there are any other exclusions e.g. tyres, windscreens, etc.
- On return - I always photograph the condition of the car AND the dashboard (mileage / fuel level). Only takes 30 seconds, never had to use it as most companies are reputable in UK and Spain, but you never know - mistakes and clerical errors can happen!
Just a few general pointers!

Re: Car Hire for first 2 weeks in Spain
Hi there, thanks for the advice.... great pointers.
I have had a look at arrow, and whilst its about £30 more with them, there is no excess to pay, or upfront deposits which make me and also they refund your full tank of petrol when you bring it back.
Great,,,, just going to hold out till the end of today, to see if anyone else brings forward any other pointers before booking.
p.s - yes we are the michaelanddawn from the meetup xx
