I need a car for 18th - 22nd of September to show my Mum and sister around. I will need to pick them up and drop them back at Faro airport. Are there any hire companies around Ayamonte?

I dont understand do you want to pick the up at the airport? If so there are loads of threads on car hire from there... and the best prices too.

We have had a lot of success with Economycarhire.com... at Faro, and always rent a car for our entire visits, as we feel we need a car in CE - especially as we spend around 70-80% of our time in Portugal. So we pick up and drop off at Faro. IF you are OK without a car in CE and just need it for this special occasion, then sorry I cant help with local ayamonte hire.. try google?

I have used Vostok on several occassions and found them helpful and fairly reasonable on price outside of high season.
The main office is in Isla canela with a sub-office near the marina in Ayamonte if you request to pick up from there.
