Car broken into.
On a recent trip to Oliva we made the mistake to park down by the beach in Oliva Nova. On returning to the car we found the rear passenger window smashed. The car hire company sorted out the car but we had to report the break in. They gave us a phone number for the police where you make the report in English and it is typed in Spanish. We had to go to Gandia to a police station to pick up a copy and sign the 'denuncia' but the process was much easier than having to try to give a statement in Spanish with the local police.
For reference the phone number is 902102112. It is not a local person who takes the call so I assume the number can be used anywhere in Spain. It may be of use to someone. |
