I've decided to buy a car (to the delight of my OH) to further explore Spain and to have long road trips back to the UK to see family etc.

For peace of mind I will need good quality Breakdown cover to fully cover for Spain and UK.

I've had a look on 'tinternet but would like recommendations from car owners who use their cars in a similar fashion.

Most (if not all) Spanish insurances have break down cover - ISTR it's the law.

However, you MUST read the small print as they vary tremendously.

Thankfully, I've never needed to use it so can't comment on the best one to have.

Used Direct Line breakdown service once and it was very efficient.
