If you are unfortunate enough to own land in the south cambs area, where you are entitled to develop it, and the piece of land is big enough for two houses or more, the council now have the right to take half. You then have to pay for services to their half, and then the rest of the plot is devalued further.

It's a bit like you going to get your pension fund and finding that the government has the right to take half, and then you get less than the half that's left, plus you are charged for the priviledge.

Just like in Valencia.

Yeah, having thought about it, 'Ouch' is a reasonable response.

There are other responses, but then Mitz will have erase several pages of obscenities, and I shall have to scrape foam off the keyboard in order to type.

Thanks for all your responses. Hope it doesn't all fall through!! Had them back for second look after survey was accepted, still cannot believe it has happened so quick, just hope I get somewhere to stay for 12 weeks!!! Loads boxes packed, even bought a LHD car, October cannot come quick enough
