Hi everyone, I´m still around but telefonica have told us we can´t have a landline as there aren´t any spare so no internet I can still use the internet in the town hall but of course that is limited to mornings only on weekdays......unless there is a council meeting when they use the same room

I can sometimes pick up a signal on my laptop but only around midnight - if I´m lucky and then I don´t know how long for as it suddenly goes off without warning bit too hit and miss!

So.....I´m here but not here if you see what I mean

Hi Sam, I´m all alone in the computer room at the town hall, 35 degrees outside but the aircon has been put on specially for me by the nice man from reception We love this village and I´m learning new Spanish words daily, I can even converse with the electricians who seem to have moved in with us as they keep turning up at odd hours and can´t say when they will be finished We still have boxes to unpack and I can´t wait to get straight. How´s things? Still planning to come to Spain?

Lol - it sounds like your having a ball - we are coming over to Spain in October for/hopefully the meet - not too sure where its gonna be yet but we are thinking of asking Sharon if we can rent off her if its in that region.
We are off to Oz next summer to have a look around there and see what options are available to us over there - then it will be crunch time
Hoping to get on a Spanish course this coming September lol.
Yeh builders are a strange bunch lol hubby starts stuff at all hours when he is fed up lol

Well we have had two visits and two phone calls (all in Spanish ) and it appears that the box with the lines is in a poor condition and they going to repair it - then (maybe) they will be able to provide me with a phone line. Well at least that is what I understood from my limited Spanish. So now I wait with bated breath to see what, if anything, happens next

Meantime I´ve taken my laptop to be checked over to see if there is a problem with it (reason why I can´t pick up a signal). I have also picked up a leaflet for a broadband installation HEREwithout having a landline, 29.99 euros with free installation. I may enquire about that
