Don't think I have ever seen a camera rental shop, mind you I suppose I have never looked but seems a bit unlikely.

Slip me the airfare and I'll pop out and lend you mine! If all else fails, you might have to hire a local tog to take some shots for you, shouldn't be that expensive. Do you not know anyone locally that is handy with a DSLR? Borrowing a good camera and decent lens wouldn't be cheap anyway.

Camera rentals are generally a thing of the past, although you can still hire lens', but in the UK is the only place Ive seen that.

If I was there at the moment I would have lent you my spare camera for a few days

there is a fotog place in Granada that has one or two second hand cameras in the window from time to time but not many and not too often.

Agree, it's fine for the pro's, but for the rest of us, lens hire is expensive, I hate to think what they would charge for a decent DSLR with a good lens on the front! Far cheaper to hire someone for an hour or so I'd have thought.

Yes, confirms exactly what I was saying, my camera with a reasonable lens would cost around £110 a day, plus some hefty courier charges! Could be pushing £150! For a pro that has special, one off type job that needs a specialist lens for a short period, it makes sense, but not for us. As I say you could get a pro to take your photos for less.

Or buy one of the decent mega compacts that are around now for less than a days rental & charges.

A really good DSLR? You mean a Canon?
