Calpe - Off Road
Hi everyone
Down here for a couple of months visiting my folks who live in Calpe and would like to ask your advise please.
Does anyone know of a suitable map/guide that will show me "legally do-able" off road tracks in the mountains at the back of Calpe?
Please understand that it is NOT my intention to go up there and tear the wonderfull countryside up, I prefer to go out with Costa Blanca walking Club, but my wife had an accident a few years ago which means that hiking up there is not possible for her and I would like to be able to take her off road GENTLY to appreciate the views.
Any help much appreciated.
ps, I have a 4x4 Nissan Navara

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Might be worth you asking this question at the town hall too. I know that in my town hall there are walking/mountain enthusiasts who would be able to give me the information in this area so hopefully there will be there too.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Re: Calpe - Off Road
hi, I cycle all the tracks that way so will be keeping v quiet as (nothing personal) I don't want to see cars, I'd cycle on the roads if I wanted traffic.
OK to be a bit more helpful there are firetracks but they often have a chain across to keep cars out.
Googlemaps is your friend, they are all on there.
