Hi
I had formal one on one grammatical classes twice a week for seven years; I supplemented these with two conversation and one pronunciation class (free whilst "teaching" / helping the daughter with English) every week.
I am now "OK" with Spanish and feel reasonably confident but there are Spanish people who will not understand my English accent

Thank you very much to ALL of you for your advice.
It sounds like doing again what I've done almost 30 years ago to learn English. Difference is that this time round I don't have a "private tutor".
Well, on the positive side it's that I don't start from scratch as I mastered cerveza por favor and muchos gracias
