Items ordered from Amazon.co.uk for delivery to Spain are dispatched from the UK, those ordered from Amazon US are dispatched from the US.

Not as far as I know. I use Amazon all the time, but because I am Canaries, if stuff comes from the US I get charged duty (even books). If it comes from the UK I don't. I just have to remember to log into the .co.uk site then it comes through no problem.
