Default Building Product Info Req

Any builders out there recommend a sealer to paint the inside of a concrete swimming pool before I render it?

You should really be using an additive that goes in the rendering to make it waterproof rather than painting the concrete first. SILKA do products specifically for just that.

You mean Sikalite? I used this in the concrete , as the surface of the concrete is absorbant the render will dry to quick and crack , in the U.K I would use PVA but dont know what products are available here,

As Tim says, it`s a PVA wood glue, same as Unibond.

SILKAlite is one of the SILKA range - I think I would still use this in the render as well (SILKA 1 is the product). quote - "The Sika 1 multi-coat render waterproofing system has been used for waterproofing basements and underground structures for more than 80 years."

Adding washing-up liquid to the mix will slow the curing process and also make it go on easier.

The PVA solution mentioned by others really doesn't make it totally 'waterproof'.
