Bugger!!!
I've been a bit poorly today so spent the whole day watching the History Channel.
There was a programme on about the asteroid in the late Cretaceous period that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Apparently an asteroid of equal size is due to pass very close to earth in 2026 and it only needs to be put off course a little bit to throw it into irregular orbit and it will hit us with devastating effect in approximately 2036.
I hope Bruce Willis is in training.

Re: Bugger!!!
People love to flaunt doomsday scenarios, but they usually exaggerate the risk.
El Pais printed an article in January that a meteorite was going to hit Mars, but by the time the data had been refined a bit, there was no way it was going to hit.
