I live in Eagle country, I reckon my Pedigree Burman cat went missing like this, he loved the campo far too much.
Could have been a snake I supose?? Guess I will never know.

The story is interesting. It should be a warning to people who have lap dogs and likes to walk through forests and mountain areas ... at least in Spain

We also had a very large asp viper snake on our terrace a couple of weeks ago, the largest I've ever seen here!
I don't know which one is was that scared my cat, but she still will not go outside now in the daylight hours.
As far as the eagles go I was very surprised the other day watching some videos on U-Tube, they were showing an eagle attacking a full grown goat....and actually flying off with it.

I too live in eagle country and they do circle above our roof terrace, as do the vultures.
We also had a very large asp viper snake on our terrace a couple of weeks ago, the largest I've ever seen here!
I don't know which one is was that scared my cat, but she still will not go outside now in the daylight hours.

Do you live in the province of Malaga? If so, I think it is impossible that you have seen a asp viper. In Spain, it is only in the Cantabrian cornice
