They aren't PMs they are just e mails to tell you a new post has occured in a thread you have replied to, you can stop this happening if you go to options in your profile, and tick/untick the relevant box, however, it doesn't happen retrospectively, just on new threads. To stop getting them from old threads once you have changed the option, just go to the thread and unsubscribe at the bottom of the thread, this will stop the e mails.

Yes I know that now, but I didn't when she posted about the junking :)
