Default Bringing electrical goods from UK ??

Hi - moving over soon and trying to bring as little as possible but I’ve got a few table lamps that I would like to bring. I’m guessing they will
work ok with adapter but obvs not sure ? I know whenever I’ve taken hairdryer and hair straighteners on holiday they do not seem to heat to same capacity as UK ... unsure if this is my imagination ?

Wife’s GSDs seem to be working ok. Just stick Spanish plugs on everything and you will be ok.

Voltage is the same 230v to 240v AC so no worry about bringing whatever you like, bulbs are Edison thread in Spain so if your lamps are B22 bayonet fitting maybe bring a few bulbs as well as they are not common , put euro plus on or adaptors, whatever suits you

That could be in the US - their 110V means that a kettle takes half the afternoon to boil for a cup of tea.

UK annd EU voltages are the same, don't bother with adaptors, just buy some EU plugs they are on sale everywhere, especially in the chinese shops and builders merchants.

Has this changed since about 1999? I have a very fond memory of a Dutch client sending us a server and the boss plugging it in without changing the voltage switch on the back and *POP*. Happy times!

No, it hasn't changed but I would think what happened in your case was the power supply on the server was set for 110/120 volts and it was put into 230/240 volts

Yes that's exactly what happened (I remember it so well ) and I assumed it was because in the NL their electricity was at 110/120V.

Re the bulbs I brought a lamp over and got an adapter in a Chinese shop that converts from bayonet to screw in fitting. They cost very little.

Any electrical appliance that works in UK will work in Spain.
