Default Brexit License problem

My missus is a stubborn bugger and insists on driving my car with the recently ex-Brexit expired licence. And I assume also no insurance.

Folk here have been done 5,000 € fine for such

And I assume also will have no insurance ???

I'm shit scared that if she's stopped then I will be prosecuted as well ?

Any experience of this ?

Tell her that she will be paying it if she gets caught, it won't be out of your joint account.

It is not being stopped that you need to really worry about -what about if she has an accident and the insurance company walks away and you are left facing a huge civil claim. For your health and wealth make her stoop

Insurance will pay up for an expired valid licence but won't pay up for an invalid licence.

If she gets caught by a speed camera and you're the registered owner you'll either have to say it's you and lose points and get fined, or identify her as the driver and then the cat's out of the bag.
