Hi all. My family is moving to La Cala de Mijas in the next 6-8 months. Does anybody else use CPAP for sleep apnoea? I’m looking to connect with the (public) sleep service, like the NHS service I have now. Would we need a referral from our family doctor? Many thanks in advance, David.

Me for one. Your GP will refer you to the local hospital Neumology department. They will give you a 24 or 48 hour test with a breathing monitor, could take a while as these are in short supply.
When Sleep Aponea is indicated they will arrange for you to see the CPAP machine supplier who in my case is called "Vitalaire". They supply a machine, spares if required, and an annual review.
Non of this is instant.

I don't know if your machine is NHS supply or yours, I would try to hang on to it as getting a Spanish one could take 9 months and you don't want to be without for that long.
Fact of Spanish life, things take time.
