The boom is back
It seems my biggest nightmare is back

Spain’s tallest residential building the Intempo skyscraper in Benidorm is one year away from renovation works completion and already 40pc sold says the development team.
InTempo is 198 meters tall with 45 floors containing 256 residences and more than 13,000 m2 of common areas including the highest gym and spa in Europe. The renovation work still has a year or more to go.

What an awful looking building. The advertising blurb sounds OK, but in practice? I cant understand why anyone would want to be in a building that high?

As a colourful design on a piece of paper it looks very futuristic. But in reality to live in, what an absolute nighmare! If I was to be gifted an appartment in that monstrosity, I'd put it up for sale and run as fast as possible with the money, in order to buy a 2nd haven of peace and quiet with a little private garden etc.

This says the opposite:
Spain Has a $38 Billion Property Hangover

If I had to live in Benidorm, I might well choose to live in that building. Let's face it, if you are going to live somewhere full of skyscrapers you might as well choose the tallest one. The views must be incredible, and unobstructed, and you are next to the beach. The maintenance probably isn't that high either since it is split between 256 flats.

We go past it on the N332 quite often and to me it actually looks quite impressive, not out of character with the area and quite futuristic, I wouldn't for one minute want to be there but i can understand some may want to.
Certainly around here (Northern Costa Blanca) the market is quite buoyant, we bought in 2009 so have no idea what it was like before but it's certainly completely different to when we came here.
