Bin Laden

So they've finally nailed him, or so it seems, living in luxury unlike Sadam.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...aden-dead.html

Been living in Pakistan apparently.
Latest reports suggest he's already been burried,...at sea.
Lets hope they've got the right man with sufficient evidence to back it up.

Re: Bin Laden

Although great news (I'm a little surprised they got rid of the body so quickly, when they must have known the doubt that would be generated by it), it's slightly worrying of course of what might be to come now .... I just hope the organisation is as badly organised now as they are saying it is

Apparently they have a DNA match to prove it is him, now for the repercussions...

Well apparently they have photos and DNA proof.
The reason for the swift burial is said to be to avoid offending other ppl. of his religion whose normal practice is quck burials.

Yes, we wouldnt want to offend the family of someone who is responsible for so many deaths. I think also it seems they chose the Sea burial to avoid a shrine being created

I fear we may see an outbreak of random suicide attacks carried out by sympathisers over the next few days/weeks. It's really not one organisation but a whole set of similarly minded groups in different countries who operate autonomously. I just hope the security forces in London (and other big cities) are alert as to what may happen now.

Apparantly Obama had him buried at sea because so many Republicans had sworn to dance on his grave.

But as it has been said before, BLs supporters only have to get lucky once, :frown:the anti terrorism guys have to get lucky every time....

Hague's already announced increased security measures, so you should find that flying is probably the safest way of travelling (although you'll have extra delays at the airport no doubt). It's public transport in the big cities that are most at risk  Realistically there is no way you can check every passenger for guns or explosives

The near future is probably the safest time to fly, as everone will be extra vigilant, and these thinkgs need to be planned.

Things will be tight as tight can be. Dont worry-

That is much harder if not impossible to monitor as you say, IMO planes will not be the target, public events and transport are much easier and as you say that is how they will most probably go about it.:thumbdown:
