Default bilbao to Portugal

Will be travelling out at Easter staying overnight at salamanca ibis and Almendralejo ventona hotels. Has anyone stayed here? Wheres good to eat and drink in the towns. Will my car (and me) be safe. Any tips will be welcome.

Some times cars which have luggage on show get broken into, just like the U.K. I suppose.

Here is a travel website which gives details of places to see and eat in both places.

I personally would be more concerned about the traffic over Easter it is both horrendous and the time in which there are a lot of accidents.
