Yes, Cabo de Gata is pretty cool.

Yet the Gower..... now you're just sucking up!!!! Always had a soft spot for Fontygary even though it's a) not the Gower and b) not as picturesque as other places. I don't know - just always liked the place, especially on a sunny day in winter

There used to be a delightful little chiringuito there, damn shame they did away with them, to me they were always part of the Spanish beach scene.

But to have dinner at the restaurant owned by the ex-Sevilla and Spain goalie and watch the sun go down in the cove is just divine then cringe when the bill comes!

Ouchie.

For me a lot of restaurants are very expensive for what you get, while the smaller places and tapas bars are far better value. (Usually)

Yes I see your point.but they are diferent areas and are classed as different beaches

They haven't done away with them in the Chiclana area, they are all back on La Barrosa beach again this summer.

Fantastic places to watch the sunset.

Yeah, but not the fuente de Gallo one which is a shame. Who knows, maybe they will creep back.

just had a thought.what if 3000 ex pats are living by a beach.and 1 ex pat is living by a totaly different beach.you will get more votes for the populated area beach.but it dosnt follow on thats its the best beach.

I'm sure its not a best beach but years ago I visited a beach called "the Queen's baths" or something like that somewhere (I think :o) just north of Alicante I think.

Can anyone tell me where it was or a link to a picture?

I love to know.

Purely romantic memories.

Thanks.

There are many flaws to this but then that is why this is a sample of best beaches as voted for by BE users. If all BE users live in Benidorm and they all put that then so be it. However, we know that all users DON'T live in Benidorm and so far the suggestions given are quite varied.

Surprised no Catalan beaches have been suggested so far.
