If charges were to be brought it would be interesting to compare and contrast the treatment of the Natwest three!
Interestingly the largest part of the total Barclays fines were from US regulators. Will they be considering criminal charges I wonder.

We have a former fraud officer who drinks in our local (I don't actually like the bloke, he is an arrogant prick) and he was chatting about this last night saying that it was being spoken about 3 months ago and that there were several big scale investors in the US who were lining up to start major size class actions against several banks that could run into billions! If it turns out that criminal charges can be filed against them here I can see the same thing happening this side of the pond as well.
I for one hope to see the collapse of these scum bags, I was apathetic about the whole thing at first but having read some of the transcripts of the email I am absolutely fuming. ****ing scum the lot of them.

We still have a Barclays account, and did think of closing it, but moving it elsewhere is pointless if they're all at it.
My local MP back in the UK was one of the many caught up in the expenses scandal.
I know a local Guardia here in Spain. He's a sensible chap and drives around in an old Seat, his wife's got the Mercedes, 50Ks worth.
My local mayor is up before the courts now, the bank manager got sacked for fiddling, even the vet likes to be paid cash in hand.
There's no point in seeking sanctuary in the local Church, the minister goes to one of those funny clubs where the men dress up as women and get whipped.
Cynical? Not me.

So glad I bank with the Co-Op.

I see this morning in the Sunday Times that the FBI have launched an investigation. It also says that they have far wider powers than UK to bring a case to court.
