Bank account
I'm sure this one gets asked all the time but what is the cheapest bank account in Spain? I have an NIE but not a residencia (not sure if that is relevant). Not based in Spain but I visit 10/12 time a year. I have a small mortgage with Sabadell but they charge 30 euros a quarter. Must be something cheaper out there, surely? I never have more than 500 euros in the account. Thanks in advance.

You could get a Halifax credit card and use that for purchases and cash withdrawals. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cr...cards/#halifax

They provide a spanish IBAN so you can pay all your Spanish direct debits.....all fee free. (you need a Spanish address to receive the debit card)

Re: Bank account
Thats interesting the biannual fee from SABADELL WAS OVER €40 last time. I know you should be able to DIY however I have never seen an explanation of how to do that. The actual certificate cost less than €7 so worth doing if the more than 1 or 2 people. Just can’t find the idiots guide. Any tips snikpoh?
