i am about to embark on a house renovation in Galicia. Is there anybody in spain and particularly, living in the Melide, Agolada, Monterrosso, lugo area who have encountered problems of any kind inc. builders, legal, transport, money, suppliers etc.

Only Battlezone and us post regularly form Galicia, There are few others one has not been here for over a week and posted 4 times the other two posters from Galicia we have not seen on here for months and months.
So find specific information about things in this locality will be quite hard. We have not had much building work done but there are a few things maybe you should be aware of here in Galicia. English is not so widely spoken, so brushing up on your Spanish is very important. Use all the local suppliers and builders you can. We talked to our neighbours and find out more about suppliers of labour and goods. Don’t expect things to happen over night. Some times when ‘they’ say it will take a week you should it to take 4 weeks or more. To renovate an old stone house you should employ some one who knows about these building methods.
If you want to use an English speaker then maybe you should contact BZ directly we understand they are builders.

Ah yes, I remember this one.
She still has the hair dye stain on the right side of her forehead (as you look at the picture) We remember seeing it on a episode of PITS and laughed our heads off. On the money she's is/was on you think the budget would include a hairdresser rather than a packet of diy dye !
Of course the crew could have done it to her on purpose.

Bad luck stories? I ended up living 50 yards away from Tallbob! Even the Gitanos complained he was lowering the tone of the area.
