Me too Crispy. I would like to have the money so that I could just pop back whenever the urge took me. Someone said, "Can you imagine growing old here?"
The answer was no, not because I don´t love it, but, as far as I am concerned I want to be with my family more. I also miss not working. It is lovely but I do get bored.

Funny I never thought I would ever say this but here goes "I too miss working":eek: The summer is not too bad as we have so many peeps here but the winter drives me mad. I don't see my self growing old here and I certainly would not stay if anything happened to OH.

I think it is going to be a lonely couple of years coming up because the kids can't afford to come out as often as they did when we first moved here, because of the £/E exchanged rate we won't be going back so often either.

Still look on the bright side we have some good friends here and life is good.:)

I missed my work (not the stress) so much at the beginning of our life here that my OH thought that he would be forced to return to UK and find a job instead of enjoying an early retirement. I think for me it was the fact that I did not leave my job because I had had enough but because my OH was made redundant so took early retirement. Felt really alien not having the work structure but have gradually settled into the much more relaxed life and love it.

I don't enjoy Spain as much as I used to do. Don't think I would like to live in the UK all the time. Many here go back to the UK about May and come back in September. Can't do that, too many pets and not enough money! I do hate the Spanish winters, seem to get worse every year, cold empty restaurants. Then I hate July and August cos its too full.:unsure:

Always enjoy the UK when I go back, still a lot of nice places/people around.

The thing I have thought about which I never did once in the UK is dying.... All jokes aside I never gave it a thought before, But I have since living here, It may be that I don't work and have too much time on my hands but it is a little niggle not a worry but there, I have a nice house no debts and potter here and there, I have all the material things I could wish for and more, I am only in my mid fifties but I don't think I would like to die here, but never want to go back at the moment, Just had menu of the day and am stuffed maybe the high vino content has resulted in rambling on......;) Nothing new there then:lol:

A good website may cheer me up thing is I am not sad just the death thing pops in my mind once in a while could be the foreign country thing who knows , My wife likes donkeys I think thats why she married me :thumbsup:heeeeeee hawwwwwwwwww whos a big boy then ;)

Think I am a bit nervous about Manu winning tonight those boys deserve it The thought of the russian scumbag buying the trophy grinds my gears, you know ten years ago he earned 2000 per year until he wormed his way into the Kremlin and taught them how to steel from the state......get the pun steel :rofl:

I would never go back to the UK to live, love it here, plus it would cost a FORTUNE to get all the animals back!!!!
