Ayamonte running
Hi there,
My name is Peter, and my wife Sally and I moved to Ayamonte 6 months ago from the Bristol area of the UK.
We are happily settled in our retirement here and are keen to make the most of our new life, including meeting new people and embrassing all that Spain has to offer.
I am a keen, if rather slower than in the past, runner, who is keen to meet up with others determined not to wither away into old age.
I enjoy running and as recently as last year was still running half marathons (Bristol and Bath). I always say never again, but you never know!
If any one would like to meet up or knows of a running club in the Ayamonte area, I would be thrilled to hear from you.
We also enjoy eating out, socialising and the odd game of golf, although here I am more of keen beginner.
Sally and I are also keen to persue Ballroom dancing, so if anyone knows of a club or a place we can dance we'd be keen to discover that too.
I hope you are enjoying Spanish life as much as we do. We have already met some lovely people and are looking forward to the next few years in Spain with relish.

Hi Peter & Sally
Why don't you send me more details about your idea then I can publish it in January's edition of the The Guardiana, which if you don't know is the local English language newspaper dedicated to this region. You've probably (I hope!) picked up December's copy by now (widely available in Ayamonte & Isla Canela at the moment as well as throughout the area between Faro & Huelva). You can get in touch via any of the addresses there or email me at [email protected]
Also looking for new members for our football team, Ayamonte United. Age absolutely unimportant. If you don't want to play, maybe you could be fitness coach??
¡Feliz Año Nuevo!
Jon
