We also ordered white goods and got two quotes on Air Con - we are waiting for a third.

You may all know that Fadesa now has a furnishing/management company set up in the shed. They are called Conforta. We did not use them but they are on the web if anyone wants to see that they are doing.

We had not been out for a year and the difference in the site was staggering, lots of car parking for the golf club (they must think it will be popular). There was what looked like "substations" in front of some properties (one per pool), they are not very attractive and quite large. We were not allowed inside our house, but did manage to peer through the windows and everything looked good.

David visited a few golf courses in the area to compare fees and it would appear that the quotes we have received are similar to most of them.

We met up with a great couple in the Sugar Reef (Hi Debbie & Brian), who we discovered through the thread would be out at the same time as us. We had a few drinks and swapped furnishing stories!

Ayamonte is growing in size - lots of building everywhere, including a new shopping centre. We also noticed many more English translations on menus (some made interesting reading!).

Altogether we came home really excited and looking forward to returning soon, we have booked our flights, hotel and car hire for early December. Cant wait!

Kathy
Hi Kathy,

Thanks for the information, its very much appreciated.
Did you notice while you were on site the townhouse gardens that look into the communal area. I was just wondering if they had started fencing them off yet, and if so what sort of materials they were using.

I agree, but he should also tell the moderator, who has now closed the thread twice

This particular thread is for any type of discussion related to Ayamonte, Costa Esuri. However, it can and probably will go slightly off topic which is expected, but if you have a completely different topic you want to discuss feel free to start another thread.

ANYONE can start another thread........there is a "Spain" forum outside this thread

Can you let us know the result of your quotes for air conditioning as it could save some spade work for the rest of us

Thanks David and Kathy for the update. We noticed back in June that they were replacing all the pavements in Ayamonte and a lot of work was going on.Where is the new shopping centre they are building? or is it finished?
May see you out there in Dec?

Hi Kathy,

Just wanted to express my support. This forum was started for discussion and exchanging info re Esuri/Ayamonte. Your points are valid, my garlic bread with cheese is important to me! I was the first to reply to Sam's original thread and will be moving to Esuri early next year, so hope to meet all you guys out there!

Cheers

Hi Sam

The gardens that overlook the pool have not been fenced off yet, they having been laying top soil though, so hopefully will be grassing the areas soon.

The apartments area, which is more advanced and is grassed & landscaped looks really nice - and it looks like they have planted thousands of palm trees!

For those of you that were interested in Air Con Units, we have got prices for Inverter units (hot and cold air). (These quotes are for a 3 bedroomed townhouse)

Muebles Mateos for a Mitsubishi unit = 3909E + 540E (approx) for fitting
for a Daikin unit was about the same price.

Conforta (Fadesa's in-house company) wanted 3800E (inc fitting) for a Fujitsu unit.

We are still waiting for our third quote for another Daikin unit as that is our preferred manufacturer (David has 40 of these units in his business and have been running without any trouble for seven years).

White Goods - we have ordered via Muebles Mateos and approx costs are
Washing Machine 325E
Dishwasher 393E
Fridge Freezer 409E (small freezer area, but large fridge to store the beer and wine ...... in case Sam visits!!!!)
(the make of these are Lynx, similar to Bosch but less expensive).

We did notice that at the moment only the upper floors in the town houses have security shutters, we have faxed Fadesa for more information about this as we understood the whole house would have the security shutters (we presume and hope they have just not fitted them yet!) All the apartments appeared to have the shutters). Will keep you posted when we hear.

Hi Paul and Hayley,

I emailed Muebles Mateos yesterday for a quote on the aircon/heating. I`ve just this minute had a reply, all I need to do is attach a floor plan of our house to them and they can then give me a quote. Which I have done. If you want to email them their email is <<email address removed for privacy reasons contact member via PM for email details of company>> they also have a website www.mueblesmateos.com Thanks Kathy for putting me on to them.

When I went out in June a shopping centre was located by the petrol station on the hill, out of Ayamonte, as you head towards the shed. It was at foundation stage.
