Ayamonte: Border crossing Covid requirements

Ayamonte: Border crossing Covid requirements
Just arrived in CE having driven down from Santander ferry and faced the border controls and sanitation inspection etc.
Of course I am driving a GB plated car. What happens if I drive across to Portugal and want to return. Are there border controls for non-EU citizens entering Spain from Portugal at the Guadiana Bridge? I would hate to go to Portugal and be unable to return!
Any experience of driving to/from Spain in a non-EU car?

As you know we cross two or three times a week for lunch and it is a long time since the temporary closure 9 months ago there has been no checks at the border at all. If they did drop a stop and search it would likely be for drugs so you should be OK π However the Portuguese do have random checks in Portugal and you would be wise to have all your docs in the car. Passports, V5, insurance + proof of payment and MOT.

BTW do you know where we can get good quality bathroom fittings? We've had a bathroom turned into a wet room and the builder wants to instal fittings. Doesn't trust me to drill 'his' tiles. We've tried Abreu and LM with little luck and were thing of a trip to loule.
Maybe see you for a beer or two?
