My guess, just a guess, is... they are being sent by their company to work in O Ferrol. Navantia has just signed some contracts with the Australian navy:"Navantia Secures Contracts to Build Warships for Australian Navy Worth €1.3 Billion"

msdl, we don't expect you to confirm that since the Internet is a fishy place with very powerful search engines

msld, if you are still there don't forget to check all the beautiful villages between A Coruña and O Ferrol: Sada, Bergondo, Betanzos, Perbes, etc. etc. You probably can rent a summer house by the beach at a very reasonable price.

Thanks again for all the great advice. It has been really helpful and we have a better idea of where to look for housing when we arrive - thanks so much again
