Hola
I went to the usual ATM and it came up asking if I wanted the bank to convert the amount into pounds and charge my SPANISH bank in pounds
So I said no and it whirred a bit and then said the pin number was wrong please re-enter - so I re-entered correctly and got the charge in pounds screen again - just a loop - it would not take the "NO charge in euros option"
Tried another bank's ATM and got exactly the same !!!
I do not bank at either bank - anyone else had similar ???

I think on some machines, they may not actually verify the PIN until it comes time to dispense the cash. So your problem might not be related to the "NO charge in euros option" at all. It may actually be a problem with your PIN. You could verify that by accepting the "charge in pounds" option and see what happens. My bet is that it will tell you the PIN is wrong then also.
Maybe check with your bank to see if there's a problem with your card.

Certainly with Sabadell it only asks for your PIN at the end of the process. I always select Euros but they now charge 1.80e for each transaction on my UK card. They never used to charge

No problem with the pin or the card - just two different ATM's

I had my card rejected twice for an incorrect pin at a Caixa atm. I am sure it was correct but I went in to the bank and gave me a new pin straightaway that then worked in the same ATM.
