QUOTE [I owe you a great long pm, just need to find the time to sit down and write it! I've become such a procrastinator lately, but I promise it will be on its way sometime soon]

No worries Martha
I am the world's worst at procrastinating.....................so I'm with you all the way there
I owe 2 other people on here PMs, so let's feel guilty together, eh?

QUOTE [I hope your headache disappears soon, so sending some of those healing vibes your way.....together with some warm cyber huggles]

You must be very clever Martha................because I haven't had a headache since that night!!
Thank you so much for your good wishes and healing vibes; cos they obviously did the trick
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to posting on here!

Loved your comments about the ironing too!!
Mind you, it doesn't seem so bad when you can lose yourself in "Cold Feet" and James Nesbitt!!

Glad to see you enjoyed the coffee morning on Saturday; sounds like a great time was had by all.

Will catch up with you soon xx

Thank you so much for that info, Carol - it was very helpful
Unfortunately, for me.............the guide to vegetarian restaurants throughout Spain, produced a big fat ZERO for Extremadura!!

If only I was a really good cook, I could start up a new business here!!

P.S I still haven't tried an artichoke; but after your painstaking description of how to prepare them, I'm beginning to wonder if they're a bit more trouble than they're worth!?
Especially bearing in mind big wheels' comment!!

Hope all is well with you?

All the very best,
Sam.

Hola! Sam,
How are things your way?
Been busy since I heard the Christmas play is next week! And, disaster! My computer isn't allowing me to post smilies.
Re: artichokes. Last time I cooked these must have been around 20 years ago!
Re: sprouts. This problem only effects men, didn't you know?lol (no smilies again! Oh dear! Heelllppp!!!)
Regards,
Carol

Hola Carol!

Well, I've got an abundance of smilies (as always ) so here are a few to brighten your evening

Yes, all is well with us thank you
Have been to Caceres and Salamanca recently, and keep meaning to post some photos on here. Will get around to it one of these days!

Love your comments about the effects of sprouts!!

It's funny you know; but I'd never even contemplated eating an artichoke until this thread was started - and now it seems like I'm seeing them everywhere I go!!

What's your involvement in the Christmas play, then?
I take it it's a school play? (Sorry, I can't quite remember who does what on here! )
Oh how I used to love this time of year in my old job in the Primary school

Take care, and try not to get too "Christmassed out!!"

All good wishes,
Sam.

Bump!
Dragged this one back when I heard on another cookery program that there is such a thing (vegetable) as a Jerusalem Artichoke. Well, blow me down! It's like a potato!
