Anyone used the Elipsos Train-Hotel?
Am thinking of travelling Paris to Madrid on this train with family.
Anyone have any experiences to tell?
Cheers,
Bill

Haven't used this one, but many many years ago I did Paris-Madrid on an overnight train. When it crossed the border the gauge(?) changed and the train rattled its way along for the rest of the route as though it were going to fall off the tracks. No sleep possible.
I'm sure it's miles better now.

Hmm...
I'm thinking of using the train to come back from the UK instead of flying back and hoping for a much more pleasant experience.
It will work out a bit more expensive than flying, but for a family of five it's not that much more.
Points in favour of the train are -
1. No luggage weight limitations
2. You can take your own food and drink on board so don't have to pay extortionate prices
3. You don't face almost certain death in the event of engine failure or a dodgy speed sensor
4. Plenty of space to move around, stretch out and relax, or even sleep
5. Can use the toilet at any time, even if it's a bit bumpy or the driver needs to go
6. Private 4 berth cabin for the whole family to sleep in
7. Restraunt and bar (and somewhere to sleep it off)
8. Able to work sat at a table with Internet connection and mobile phone
...this list can go on and on
Points in favour of flying are -
1. A bit cheaper
2. A bit quicker
3. Errr.....struggling now......
