Hello,

I may have an option with relocating with work and wondered what it was like to live near Seville. I have always wanted to live near the beach so would consider living somewhere with an hours drive to get to work as the office is based in the centre. We have a daughter who is 4 and will be attending a state school so would need this close to where we go.

Does anyone have any experience of this area? We are going out in a few months for a week to do some exploring but would be good to have a bit of an idea in advance.

Sevilla is beautiful I miss it. Look at the map for towns nearest where the office and or school are. Espartinas is where I used to lived, lots of nationalities there at the time due to Airbus and the European Commission. Tomares is also a lovely busy place.

After Madrid and Barcelona, Seville is the third worst city for traffic problems in Spain. Also the Main railway station ( Santra Justa) is not near the city centre, and the airport has no rail/ave link. Something to bear in mind for commuting purposes. Having said that it is a beautiful city, and within easy reach of the Atlantic coast.

Hi Charlotte,
we have a property just over 'border' in Hinojos in the neighboring province of Huelva that is a 40 minute run to the airport/Sevilla and also 40 minutes to the lovely beaches on the Atlantic coast. Property/living costs will also be cheaper outside of Sevilla province.
