Default Anyone know anything about doctors notes..

Since the new year I have been on sick leave as I was injured at work. I originally got a nota de bajo off my doctor and was told to go back every week to collect it until I can work again. Since then I have been to a specialist and kept going to the doctors everyweek for my sick note. The specialist said I could go back to work in three weeks. I went to the doctors and it was a different doctor who said she couldn't give me any note as she didn't have any information (new info) and that I had been on sick leave too long and need a trauma report. However, The week prior to this I was summoned to the Spanish equivalent of the DHSS I guess who wanted to asses my injury. The lady there said that I couldn't work and would send for me to have another assesment in a month.
Does anyone know if I have to aquire a different kind of doctors note or if the lady at the assesment place is like the top dog and she will just make sure everything is taken care of. (She had all the info on her computer and was very kind). I know there are probably questions I should have asked all three doctors but if anyone knows anything then I can ask them the next time I go.

Go to the INSS and apply for sickness benefit. They can then make sure you're going through the correct process. Don't forget to tell them you've worked in the UK.

Sickness benefit is called 'Incapacidad Temporal'.

Thank you for replying.
The INSS is where I went to be assessed so they already know. I'm on a contract so I get paid, just wondering if the nota de baja is the correct doctors note or do I not need one if the INSS have already checked me out.
Should I be doing all the sorting out or should the company I work for sort out the legal bits like in the U.K.? I.e. if I was off for a week or so in the uk I just told the boss and I got paid and went in again when I was better.
I'm pretty much in the dark about the whole subject as I usually graft my butt off and don't take sick days off.
