Anyone else fed up with the gales?
I'm sitting here, April 16 (as is everyone else) wondering why, indoors, wearing jeans long sleeved t-shirt and fleece, I'm still gradually going blue on the extremities - hands mottled, feet I know to be there but barely feel them. Windows struggling not to blow in, draughts through every crack, trees leaning over, even our pool solar panels were blown down and ripped yesterday. What IS going on? Will this ever end?

Southern Spain - Andalucia. Among the hotter spots along the Med. However at the moment it's GLORIOUS sunshine and blowing a hooligan.... Spring flowers won't be enjoying it much, they're already out!

Glad to hear about the warm sun. 51 degrees and raining here, but no gales.

We have had strongish winds in our area but nothing drastic.

A neighbour tells me we had hail a few hundred metres the other side of our ridge... and of course Maroma got a good covering of snow at the weekend. Since my first post, I've changed my UK fleece for a Finnish one!!!!!

Just been out to check for damage. About five yesterday we had a heavy storm, hail and rain followed by being enveloped in low cloud again. When it all cleared there was, and still is, snow on the hills to the North. It is still blowing hard, but no real damage, a couple of displaced roof tiles, and the mimosa, which was damaged in the February gales has had the damage exacerbated and looks like the only solution will be the chain saw. So sad it was a beautiful tree.

Last Thursday we had hail that sat in my courtyard 5 inches deep. My doors are only 2 inches above the courtyard so it was mop and bucket for a couple of hours cleaning up the water in my living room and kitchen. Mountains are today still covered in snow and the gales last night were sufficient to bring down many branches all over the place.

I know how you feel fionamw. I am in Valencia, Valencia and usually I am out tanning in the mornings on my terrace by now not in my house covered with a down blanket.
the wind blew down my fence and my pergola. so it has been an expensive start to the year already as I will have to replace both when time and money presents itself
the wind storm we had like a month ago, the police were in the park in front of us telling people not to go in cause branches were falling off the trees by the crazy winds.
where is my nice spring weather?? (i am sure in 2 months i will be dying of heat and complaining again... but im a girl.. its my lot in life to complain)

Dahn sarf where exactly? Blowing it up a storm around and inland of Malaga, anyway..............
....and bob, there's plenty of sun, it's just the p-p-p-p-perishing chilly very strong winds that are the issue!
