Any Nursery Nurses in Spain
Hi Everyone
We are thinking/hoping to move to Spain - I am an NNEB (Nursery Nurse) and I work in a Special School over here in England and was just wondering if there is anything similar over there as i would like to continue what i do as i love it. I have also worked in Nurseries and Main Stream Schools so am quite flexible - i am also studying Spanish at the moment at a VERY basic level.
Any information or advice is greatly appeciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I´m a teacher and going to be working in an international school here in Spain. They definitely employ nursery assistants here either at the schools or in nursery schools. I will be working near the Costa del Sol.

Hi to everyone for replying - really appreciated it.
Friends of ours are going to Spain on a recci next week so i have asked them to keep their eyes and ears open - and to ask for any information at the schools they will be looking at for their children so might have a bit more info in a few weeks so will keep you posted on what or if they find anything out.
Thanks again.

Hi Sam,
I am an NNEB, moved over to Ayamonte 10 weeks ago.
Childcare is of short supply you would be inundated with people wanting a nanny or after school care here.
schools, nurseries do like english speaking staff but you would need good Spanish to get employed initally I think. Some friends of ours are moving over here with 6mth old have eventually managed to obtain nursery place but was difficult with them not speaking spanish.
If you consider moving to this area of spain and want to set up own playgroup or nursery let me know.
regards sue.

Hi Sue
Where abouts is Ayamonte - we are hoping to go around Nerja, Torrox, Competa area. I had thought about working for myself again - used to do child minding a long time ago - so that could be a good option if there is a need - yep i can say i would be interested in something like a playgroup or similar.
Thanks very much

Ayamonte is right on the border with Portugal, in the area called the Costa De La Luz or coast of light, beautiful sunsets glorious sunshine, long sandy beaches ( sound like a tourist guide)you can fly to Faro or Seville airports. Ayamonte typical Spanish small town but getting bigger.
