Only kidding, we are renting a villa on a long term let in Javea and we have the same problem s**t loads of ANTS
we just use a large insectiside spray and it kills lots in a very quick time,

good luck.

dont kill them, just buy the big spray can for stopping all ants/bugs coming into the house - its called 'uno ano' or something similar. big, and i mean, big, red spray can.
incidently, i was in valencia city t'other week, for dinner at a friends and we were hanging over the front balcony having a smoke, when this old dear dandered along the street with 2 small yappy dogs, an alsatian, an, believe it or not, an anteater!! wtf? as we were looking it started climbing a lamp post! most bizarre thing i've seen in a long time......

We've been getting loads of the damn things even though every crumb is swept away immediately. Should a moth have the audacity to croak somewhere, the ants appear en masse.
I have the suspicion that they are living alongside the underfloor heating and pop up everywhere, sending their scouts on recce's in every room of the house. We've had them on the toilet seats, in the wardrobes, beds and even in the garage.

I am on the verge of getting a box full of lizards to move in, working my way up the food chain until I have animals that can be denied entry by doors.

At least they're not the black flying variety. Touch wood!

The winged ones are the breeding versions of the sterile workers you are getting.
