Hmm even i've lived in a council house with no CH and single glazed windows... had a coal fire for hot water.

I'm so glad I came over here, it's so much more fun than the CE thread which has got a bit turgid lately.

I had a newspaper round which my Dad had to do with me on Sundays cause the papers with so heavy with supplements and when was older I got promoted into serving in the newsagents - 6.30 until 8.00 a.m. every morning and Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I can remember being so chuffed that I was able to save the money to go on a school trip to Germany.
