Advice about Chemist's
Since moving to Spain (from London)
I have had a problem getting certain types of my medication.
All the Chemist's I tried in the U.K. did n't want to know, they all said they same thing we don't deliver outside the U.K.
I found a Chemist based in Brighton with a website, they did n't do my medication, but they ordered it in especially for me, and put it on their website enabling me to order with no problems.
I still can't beleive that they went out of their way so much.
So if anyone out there has problems finding Medication or Beauty product
I suggest you give them a try.
Postage & Packing was what you would pay anyway for deliveries.

Thanks for the info Davey-boy.
It is true though, that Gp's in the UK are not allowed to give out prescription to you if you are living abroad, It is against the law. That is why if they hear you have left the UK they get shot of you. They will only give if you are going on holiday etc.

Is it possible that the name of the medicine in UK is different in Spain? The manufacturer markets the medicine using a Spanish brand name ? presumably there is an easy way to discover the equivalent in Spain by using the internet ?
Just wondering?

You can get most things but for instance, Lansoprazole, is 35 euro's for 28. It is worth if living here getting registered, as a scrip here is cheaper than the UK anyway, Most B/P tablets you can buy over the counter as well as , if you need it Viagra. I get treated the same as I would have in UK, on the NHS.
If you do not know the name of the medication you need as long as you have the label or box the Farmacia just types it on and gets a translation anyway, simple.

That Nige, I have no idea, but I know a chap here bought it, then said he felt ill, called our local surgery, no wonder he has very high blood pressure. He was subject of some talk, but he had bought it over the counter no questions asked and it nearly proved fatal.
