Question Advice

Hello to all, and may i thank you for reading.

I currently work abroad in the middle east and plan to make the move to Spain with my family within the next 12-24 months. I have various concerns due to my childrens ages and also how i would get to find out the information required to make such a life changing decision. I was hoping that people on this site would help me establish potentially sites, person(s), books, documentaries or even companies with which could be shared to allow me to conduct my due diligence and get the much needed assistance i believe i would need to make this dream happen.

May i thank you again in advance for any help or assistance you may offer my family and I.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Moving to Spain is relatively easy, you simply find a property to rent, make sure you have proof of income and helathcare and then you can become a resident. Schools are a matter of choice. young children can integrate well into the spanish system, older ones(over the age of say 10 ) really need international schooling unless they are totally fluent in Spanish

You really need to disclose more information if you want detailed help. Such are you a British citizen age bracket etc.

You are perfectly correct that much more information is needed BEFORE anyone can give specific help, also includes where they want to move to as, say, the Canaries, although Spanish, have different rules. I do notice, however, that the OP has not come back with more information, and that sort of thing really pisses me off, people come here asking for advice, they get a reply asking, perfectly reasonably, for more information and they seem not to be interested in following the advice.

I agree Mike, seems to be a plague on here.
I suspect that the English used may imply non British, may be wrong, often am.
