Can anyone who lives up in Costa Nova - Javea let me know what kind of ADSL internet speed to expect, or the location of the local exchange ? Thinking of going with Telitec?

Yep I do, but it will need reconnecting as I've never used it since I moved there a year ago.

a friend who lives up there just did a speedtest for me - 3.45mb with Orange ADSL

Personally I don't use "speedtest.net" as its results varies so much.
It reported I was only getting 7 megs.
but when I download one of the test files from www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html or from a p2p site, I max it out at 10m all the time.
So its not even a good representation, let alone accurate!

When you get connected ring various ADSL suppliers and see what speed they can give your post code or address, however they will probably promise more speed than what you can actually get. Best way is more likely to ask neighbours what they are getting.
