So C++ is a bit like PH- it goes in the pool to stop viruses spreading ?

Yes, just put your laptop in the pool to obtain the right result. You won’t damage the pool by doing this.

That’s why I call them ‘baddies’ on general forums. Users don’t really need to know if it was a virus, a worm, or a trojan that damaged their PC.

Is there any chance of Mr Firefox ( if they are to blame ) or who ever else creates viruses, worms, trogans, etc. opening a thread to explain what enjoyement or buzz they get from trying to screw every one else up ?
If they create these things in the middle of the night from their bedrooms I wonder what else they might doing with their hands @ the same time

Still a bit slow.

Interestingly, just like the thread starter, I have a trojan now that AVG has picked up. All I have been on today has been ebay, and Jan on a couple of other boards. No adverts visible.

Not that I have noticed, but maybe you've got a False Positive or too many +++'s in your C's !!

Just a thought, (no answers on a postcard please) is there such a thing as a False Negative ?? Suppose there is.

There is always problems with ~firefox and invalid /expired certificates, I like firefox but sometimes it can come up with this crap, sometimes I get paypal expired, online bank invalid, sometimes ive noticed if you miss the www. bit out i.e https://paypal.com instead of https://www.paypal.com willl force this aswell

Somtimes it can be your tiime and date settings are wrong, whole host of reasons, it could be a hole host of things, without me physically seeing your PC I find it hard to help you, there are others more into it here that may see your post and advise further
