Activity on Esuri
Hi just drove back onto Esuri after a trip to the beach, and there for all to see is a massive crane at the side of the defunct shopping centre, taking down one of the old cranes which as sat there for at least 10 years!!.
Not sure if all the cranes are coming down but will check on my way out, Garda Civil in attendance so maybe being taken down as unsafe!!. Ken. |

Would be an ideal time place for the likes of Aldi Lidl to open a store on there, think this as been the busiest I've seen Esuri and the surrounding areas, which is great to see and shows things in a positive light, fingers crossed!!. Re: Activity on Esuri
well two of the cranes (one at the shopping centre and one at the hotel) didn't turn with the wind and makes them dangerous. may be the reason to bring them down?

Re: Activity on Esuri
Looks like the other four at the hotel are coming down today as well. There is activity right now! Could it be assets being sold off/liquidated? I've heard the hotel and the shopping centre will be released for sale in January.

Re: Activity on Esuri
well good news as those cranes weren't safe in anyway.
altho i used them to see where the wind was coming from :) |

Fadesa Morocco probably purchased them from Fadesa Spain for PEANUTS but that's business.

Re: Activity on Esuri
I'm not sure they actually belonged to Fadesa. ISTR that they were rented and when development stopped it was more cost effective to leave them where they were rather than the cost of taking them down. Subsequently the leasing company went bust too.
I suspect they are being removed primarily for health and safety reasons. 10 years of just standing there has probably made them unusable anyway. |
