An act of God?

It appears that a helicopter has crashed in Afghanistan killing 26 soldiers, thought to be the same team 6 of the Navy Seals that executed Osama bin Laden.

Unusually, American sources have immediately claimed that the helicopter was shot down by a Taliban hand-held rocket launcher.

The alternative, some sort of act of God (Muhammed), would have handed Al Queda a recruitment drive of immense value.

All a bit weird.

Possibly from the same unit, but unlikely to be the same personnel, according to this BBC link.

I doubt if the names of all those involved in the Bin Laden raid would be made public, so it's unlikely we'll ever know.

Is there only one God that has different names, never been sure about that.

Well the Old Testament of the Bible is a holy book to Christians, Jews and Muslims so that implies that there is one God and some call Him God and some call Him Allah. I think...

After several different stories and cover ups, it will probably end up being blue on blue.

Not that it's a big deal, but I've got so cynical about public news that I don't believe much of what is reported from official sources. I'm not into daft conspiracy theories either.

I'm sorry about Muhammed, I meant Allah, the name given to God by another religion.

The bare facts that a helicopter which somehow crashed contained some members of the Navy Seals who executed Osama is enough to start a long discussion. The propaganda machines from interested parties will soon start rolling.

As for the truth? I suspect we'll never know.

It's the reason camels look so arrogant. Man knows the 99 names of god(Allah) but only the camel knows the 100th.

I had a feeling that that was the case and I suppose that if we could have all the religions agreeing there is only one then there should be peace.
Sorry I forgot, there is a world of difference between God and religion, they have very little to do with one another.

Sorry Graham, you have that wrong. If all the religions agreed, the next thing they would agree on would be to stamp out unbelievers.

Don't believe me? Look at what religions do when they have real power.

As I said in post number 2, no evidence has come forth to date to back your statement and possibly never will, other than the fact that they were from the same unit.
Quite agree about the propaganda though,.......everywhere from the interested parties to the forums.

And then we have ( plentyful ) agnostics , or the atheists as some call them .
As for the U.S. information/propaganda , each to their own , what to believe ( or not ) .

Completely different - atheists are certain there's no ultimate being. Agnostics just don't know.
