Abogado recommendation - Rojales area
Hi,
Does anyone have a personal recommendation of an english speaking abogado/gestor near Rojales?
We've been visiting a lovely village near Rojales for the last 3 years on 3 monthly lets. One of the neighbours has decided to sell his apartment and hasn't yet appointed an estate agent. We've viewed the apartment and we are now negotiating the price. We need an abogado/gestor to draw up/check a sales contract, obtain NIE for myself, partner & son.... and help us through the rest of the conveyancing process.
We're an unmarried early retired couple and we are looking to add our 23 yo son to the deeds/escritura. We are keeping our UK home and do not intend to become Spanish tax resident. We would appreciate any advice/thoughts from experienced expats.
many thanks for any replies....really appreciate your views

I would recommend Pellicer & Heredia they have an office in Quesada - phone 965 981 069 - they have several offices, speak English and are reliable. If you google them you can see more. Good luck.

Many thanks for the replies. I've seen Pellicer & Heredia advertising in the local free papers.....nice to get a personal recommendation as well
Is there any point to having our son on the deeds? We were thinking that if anything happened to us he could continue to use it and pay the bills without having to notify anyone.....just paying the required taxes when he came to sell.
He is coming out to visit us next week so wouldn't be any problem to add him.
Thanks again

I have a number of concerns about putting offspring on the title deeds.
You should ask your abogado for advice.

I am sure your son would not take advantage, but there are several possible risks.
To name only two scenarios, if he fell into debt or split with his partner there would be a potential to claim on your property.
