Default 720 again

Going back to the 720 (I cant find the original thread) do you have to put in a life insurance. I dont know why I thought I saw something about it somewhere. I have to say I know so many people who are not bothering and half the Spanish I talk too have never even heard of it

I seem to recall that you do if it's value is over 50k

BUT as the beneficiary is not yourself, who actually declares it.

If it is a policy that only pays out on death then it doesn't need to be declared.

Other policies, such as endowments which pay out a lump sum on maturity have to be declared based on their surrender value on 31/12/2012

I am closing this thread as we really dont want two threads on this subject.
