Default 3G operator, Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel

hi,
just read a thread about terrible Vodafone service. Apparently where I live (calle Turmalina) there is a problem with telefonica lines, therefore all Internet connections are slow. 3G seems like a only option (except satelite, which is not for me, considering their upload/download restrictions).
Have any of you got nice experience with 3G operators in Spain ?

thank you in advance

Yes - I use Orange 3G prepagado and it's pretty good. It has a tight download limit which you would probably avoid with a contract but check. Prepagado is also damned expensive if you use it daily (as I do right now for various reasons) - about 3.50 per day - but again a contract would overcome that.

Quality of service is very dependant upon location - Orange is fine here but Vodafone isn't and I don't know about Movistar. We checked speed and reliability using a laptop tethered to a 3G smartphone before committing.

Note that most of the independent providers use the Orange network so if Orange works for you it is worth checking the other providers for the best deal.

thank you,
does it mean that 3G in general has download/upload limits ?
this would be a killer for me, as I do upload and download more then 70-90Gb per month (although I don;t really know how much, never checked it..)

I think you will fall foul of 'fair usage' clauses - but check.
